Bryson DeChambeau reveals shocking thing Rory McIlroy did during Masters

showdown and fans can’t believe it
Bryson DeChambeau has made a revelation about Rory McIlroy’s approach during the final round of the Masters.

Bryson DeChambeau has revealed he was brutally snubbed by Rory McIlroy on his way to winning the Masters for the first time and completing a coveted Grand Slam.

McIlroy finally got his hands on the green jacket after triumphing at Augusta National to win his fifth major and his first since 2014 – some 3,898 days ago.

Rory McIlroy joined an exclusive group of golf legends — Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, and Gary Player — by completing the career Grand Slam, also taking home a record-breaking £3.2 million in prize money.

After a rough start, the 35-year-old regained his rhythm and entered the final round with a two-shot lead. However, the win didn’t come easily — McIlroy squandered a four-shot advantage and missed a chance to clinch the title before ultimately defeating Justin Rose with a birdie in a sudden-death playoff on the first extra hole.

Overcome with emotion, McIlroy dropped to his knees after capturing the one trophy that had long eluded him.

He was so intensely focused that he didn’t speak to his playing partner, Bryson DeChambeau, throughout the final round.

Though it initially appeared McIlroy and DeChambeau would battle it out for the Masters title, DeChambeau — who has previously golfed with Donald Trump — ended up tied for fifth alongside Im Sung-jae at seven under par.

When asked about McIlroy’s reaction to the win, DeChambeau simply replied, “No idea. I didn’t talk to him once all day. He wouldn’t talk to me.”

Fans were divided by McIlroy staying silent, with one on X posting: “He was in the zone, no distraction”.

Another slammed McIlroy, commenting: “Rory night be the worst sportsman in all of athletics.”

DeChambeau said McIlroy was “just being focused” and his way of doing things ultimately led to him getting the job done.

Rory McIlroy had ‘ironic’ note in his locker before Masters win.

McIlroy spoke to reporters after skipping a conversation with DeChambeau about his Master experience in 2011 with Cabrera as his playing partner where he once led until he faltered for a tied 15th place finish.

The same ironic situation has continued since 2011 according to my thinking. McIlroy found a lucky note inside his locker from Angel Cabrera who wrote a generous wish of good fortune.

Angel Cabrera was my partner in the deciding round of 2011 and I appreciated his gesture which added an unusual touch. Fourteen years had passed since then until I finally succeeded in doing what I set out to accomplish.

After a 30-month prison term due to assault and theft along with intimidation Cabrera returned to compete at the Masters.
