USA Gymnastics star Simone Biles couldn’t help but reflect on her Olympic journey after she returned to Minnesota for her Gold Over America Tour.
Going back to Minnesota where the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials were held had Biles feeling “bittersweet,” as it reminded her of everything that happened before and after the Olympics in Paris.
Biles also stayed in the same hotel that she used during the trials, which gave her “so much déjà vu.” “Last night I stayed in the same hotel we stayed at when we competed at Olympic Trials… Biles wrote on her Instagram Stories along with a photo of her sitting on her hotel bed. “Walking in I had so much déjà vu. What good memories. Bittersweet.”
Returning to the state of Minnesota where the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials took place left Biles feeling “bittersweet” as she was taken back to memory lane of the events that occurred before and after the Moscow Olympics in Paris.
Simone Biles qualified for Olympics for third time after conquering the US Olympic trials that was staged at Target Center in Minneapolis last June. Biles scored 117.225 in the dramatic conclusion to place first and qualify for the Olympics in the US. Of course, as fans would remember, the 27-year-old gymnast went on to win three gold medals and one silver in the Paris Summer Games. At the same time, it should come as no surprise that Biles is very happy with her experience in Minneapolis, where she kicked off her Olympics run in 2024.
Biles and the Gold Over America Tour crew were in Minneapolis on Friday, performing in a show. The next two locations are Milwaukee and Chicago are scheduled for the end of the month.
