Lewis Hamilton has said that he has battled depression all of his life.The 39-year-old seven-time world champion is the all-time greatest Formula One driver.
Hamilton holds the record for most Grand Prix wins and pole positions (105), having tied Michael Schumacher’s record of seven world titles.
In spite of his remarkable career as a driver for Mercedes and McLaren, Hamilton, who will be joining Ferrari for the upcoming season, has been candid about his struggles with mental health.
Hamilton, who has struggled with mental health issues since a young age, attributed his struggles to pressure from racing and school struggles, as well as bullying.
When asked if he has ever seen a therapist, Hamilton stated, “I spoke to one woman, years ago, but that wasn’t really helpful. I would like to find someone today.”
